The Freeman International Institute Corp applied for 501 (3) c NonProfit Agency in the fall of 2007.
Our mission will be to develop training and education opportunities for health professionals both locally and
internationally.  Our focus will be on obtaining the highest qualified speakers in the areas of psychology,
pharmacology and addiction treatment for purposes of teaching evidenced based practices to clinicians in
practice settings.

Dr. Arthur Freeman and Dr. Sharon Morgillo Freeman are experts in all areas of Cognitive Therapy have published numerous books and
articles on the subject including CBT with Personality Disorders, Substance Misuse disorders, OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder) PTSD
(stress disorders), ADHD, anger problems, medication use panic disorder (and other anxiety disorders), bipolar disorder, pain management,
chronic pain, eating disorders, crisis or trauma response, anxiety disorders, depression, coping skills training, infidelity, counseling skill
education and training, parenting help, treatment motivation, individual and group psychotherapy, therapy for children and adolescents,
relationship, couple or marriage and family problems.  

As professional speakers, Dr's. Arthur Freeman and Sharon Morgillo Freeman have presented at numerous conferences and workshops
around the world.  Both active in professional associations such as the Association for Behavior and Cognitive Therapy (ABCT), the

Drs. Art and Sharon Freeman




Dr. Arthur Freeman is the Director of Training and Supervision for the Center for Brief Therapy in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He is Chair Emeritus
and Professor of Psychology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine where he still teaches part-time. In addition, he is in
Chicago, Illinois part-time where he is currently head of the Psychology Department of Sheridan Shores Rehabilitation Hospital and Visiting
Professor at Governor's State University in Chicago, Illinois. Prior to his move to Indiana, Dr. Arthur Freeman was Professor and Chair of the
Department of Psychology and Director of the doctoral program in Clinical Psychology at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
He has remained in the position of Professor since his move to Fort Wayne, Indiana. He has three diplomates (board certifications) through
the American Board of Professional Psychology including ABPP certification in Behavior Therapy, Family Therapy and Clinical Psychology.  
He is licensed as a psychologist and a Health Services Psychology Provider (HSPP) in Indiana.

Dr. Freeman completed his undergraduate and early graduate work at New York University and his doctoral work at Teachers
College-Columbia University.He studied at the Alfred Adler Institute in New York under Drs. Kurt and Alexandra Adler, the Institute for Rational
Living under
Dr. Albert Ellis, and completed a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Center for Cognitive Therapy at the University of
Pennsylvania under
Dr. Aaron T. Beck.In addition to 50+ book chapters, reviews and journal articles, he has published more than 50
professional books on the topic of cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) including: Cognitive Therapy of Personality Disorders (with Dr. Aaron T.
Beck), Clinical Applications of Cognitive Therapy, The Comprehensive Casebook of Cognitive Therapy (with Dr. Frank Dattilio).

Dr. Sharon Morgillo Freeman is an Advanced Practice Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist and Director of the Center for Brief
Therapy, PC, Ft. Wayne, Indiana.  She is Past-President of the National Association of Addiction Professionals (NAADAC) and
Past-President of the Pennsylvania Association for Addiction Professionals (PAADAC).

Prior to moving to Fort Wayne, she was the Clinical Director of Inpatient Addiction Services, Inpatient Acute Psychiatry and Dual Diagnosis
Units for the University of Pennsylvania Medical Center at Presbyterian. These units won the
national treatment program award (click for link)
and U.S. News and World Report Top Ten Addiction Treatment Programs in the U.S. in 2002 as well as the state and city awards for best
practice.  Dr. Freeman was faculty trainer for psychiatrist residencies and the psychiatry mental health education component for medical
residents at the University of Pennsylvania.

She has presented numerous workshops and education sessions on the topics of CBT with substance misusing individuals (alcohol and
other drugs), medication use with substance misusing persons, PTSD and chronic pain problems, CBT with complex or difficult patients,
anger issues, CBT for depression, anxiety, couple, relationship (marriage), infidelity, parenting help and family problems, crisis management
and trauma.

In 2006 she was named "Top Doc" by her peers in Northeastern Indiana in the category "Psychiatry" in Fort Wayne Business Journal.  

Dr. Sharon Freeman is board certified by the
Academy of Cognitive Therapy in addition to certification as an Advanced Practice
Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist
, and senior level certification as an addiction professional (MAC) through NAADAC.She has a
Ph.D.in Sociology and her two master's degrees were awarded in Psychology through the Adler School of Professional Psychology and
Advanced Practice Psychiatric nursing at the University of Pennsylvania.  Dr. Morgillo Freeman took the majority of her graduate course work
in the school of medicine at the University of Pennsylvania enjoying the expertise of such world renowned mentors such as Dr. Charles
O'Brien, Dr. George Woody, Dr. Charles Dackis, Dr. Irwin Lucki, Dr. Laura McNicholas, Dr. Tom McLellan, Dr. Art Alterman and Dr. Anna
Rose Childress.

Both Dr. Arthur Freeman and Dr. Sharon Morgillo Freeman serve on the board of directors for the International Association for
Cognitive Psychotherapy (
IACP).


Janet M. Eggiman, RN, M.S. LMFT is an expert in Marriage and Family therapy with many years experience with families and children
experiencing difficulties including grief, trauma, physical and sexual abuse,
attention deficit disorder, and autistic spectrum disorders as well
as learning and school problems, and school refusal.  

Ms. Eggiman has experience with individual, family and group therapy settings using a variety of treatment modalities including cognitive
behavior therapy, family therapy, pet therapy (with her therapy wonder dog Kotter), play therapy, and brief therapy techniques.  Ms. Eggiman
is a Registered Nurse with many years of experience as a staff nurse and nurse manager in hospital settings.  She has provided medication
management under the direction of a licensed prescriber in addition to psychotherapy as a marriage and family therapist.  

Ms. Eggiman completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Purdue University and her Master of Science Degree in Marriage in Family
Therapy at Indiana University.

Ms. Eggiman is completing her certification in Cognitive Therapy at the Center for Brief Therapy.
