| Janet M. Eggiman, RN, M.S. LMFT is an expert in Marriage and Family therapy with many years experience with families and children experiencing difficulties including grief, trauma, physical and sexual abuse, attention deficit disorder, and autistic spectrum disorders as well as learning and school problems, and school refusal. Ms. Eggiman has experience with individual, couples, family and group therapy settings using a variety of treatment modalities including cognitive behavior therapy, family therapy, pet therapy (with her therapy wonder dog Kotter), play therapy, and brief therapy techniques. In addition, Jan is a Registered Nurse with many years of experience as a staff nurse and nurse manager in hospital settings. She has provided medication management under the direction of a licensed prescriber in addition to psychotherapy as a marriage and family therapist. Ms. Eggiman completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Purdue University and her Master of Science Degree in Marriage in Family Therapy at Indiana University. Ms. Eggiman is completing her certification in Cognitive Therapy at the Center for Brief Therapy. |
