Melissa Blackmer joins CBT with nine years experience in the mental health and
education setting. She earned her Masters in Counselor Education from IPFW. She
has experience in substance abuse counseling, school counseling, and working with
adolescents and parents on relationship issues. She also counsels individuals and
couples who seek help with anxiety, depression, anger management, bereavement,
and marital issues.
Melissa has worked in a number of settings, including an outpatient subance abuse
program, a youth center, a residential youth treatment center, and in the public
schools. She is also an experienced church youth worker, parenting educator and
university level instructor in the area of psychology.
Melissa is a member of The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
Melissa is continuing her education by seeking licensure as a Marriage and Family
Therapist.
